What an incredible evening!

Stephanie and I want to sincerely thank everyone who attended our campaign kickoff and everyone who has supported us along the way. We are truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of encouragement, kindness, and support.

Seeing so many friends, family, community leaders, and neighbors come together reminds us why we’re working so hard for Trumbull County. Your belief in me and your commitment to our community mean more than words can express.

You are the reason our campaign continues to grow stronger every day, and we couldn’t do this without you.

Thank you for believing in my vision, for standing with us, and for being part of this journey. We are excited for what lies ahead, and together, we’ll continue working to make Trumbull County the very best it can be.

Michael is running for Trumbull County Commissioner, hoping to put his lifelong commitment to public service to work for you.

A proud Lakeview graduate and YSU alumnus, Michael served our country as a member of the Ohio National Guard during the Persian Gulf War. He met his daughter, Sadie, for the first time on the tarmac at Vienna Airbase when she was four months old.

After returning to civilian life, Michael continued serving his community as a law enforcement officer, dedicating his career to the Bazetta Township Police Department and serving as president of the union. He retired as Chief of Police in 2018 and went on to establish Hovis Construction. Since then, the company has secured over $10 million in competitively awarded government contracts.

Feeling called to return to public service, Michael is now in his second term as a Bazetta Township Trustee, where he has led the township toward fiscal responsibility, secured key investments, and updated long-neglected infrastructure.

Michael is ready to put his proven experience to work stabilizing Trumbull County.

A proud Papa, Michael lives with his wife, Stephanie, in the same family home in which he was raised. They have two children, Sadie and Ryan, and three grandsons, Ren, Rowan, and Hudson, residing in the county.
